business man vip parking heathrow

Airports can be stressful places with so much to remember and think about. Make sure you remember, there are restrictions on the amount of liquids you can take in your hand luggage. If possible, pack liquids in your hold baggage (luggage that you check in) or only pack 100ml mini sizes for items in carry on luggage.
Liquids include:
• all drinks, including water
• liquid or semi-liquid foods, e.g soup, jam, honey and syrups
• cosmetics and toiletries, including creams, lotions, oils, perfumes, mascara and lip gloss
• sprays, including shaving foam, hairspray and spray deodorants
• pastes, including toothpaste
• gels, including hair and shower gel
• contact lens solution
• any other solutions and items of similar consistency

If you do take liquids in your hand luggage:
• containers must hold no more than 100ml
• containers must be in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag, which holds no more than a litre and measures approximately 20cm x 20cm
• contents must fit comfortably inside the bag so it can be sealed
• the bag must not be knotted or tied at the top
• you’re limited to 1 plastic bag per person
• you must show the bag at the airport security point

Weather Bomb Stay Away!

Thursday, December 11th, 2014

Let’s hope the current ‘weather bomb’ ravaging the North stays away from the South of England- particularly Heathrow airport! This can be one of the busiest times of the year for travel and air-travel being no exception. There are trips to buy Xmas presents from the Christmas Markets of Europe’s cities and people spending Xmas / New Year away or visiting relatives abroad. Snow and high winds are always guaranteed to cause travel chaos and inevitably delays flights.

Make sure if you are travelling from Heathrow airport over the next few weeks that you choose meet & greet parking. This means no driving to an off-site car park with an often unpleasant bus transfer to the terminal. Remembering where you parked your car is always a daunting through at the world’s busiest international airport. It is never fun waiting around for a bus but its even less fun standing around in freezing or wet, windy conditions with suitcases (and maybe children) in tow.
Meet & Greet parking means that you drive straight to your terminal and are met by an authorized meet & greet driver who then takes your vehicle to be parked in a secure car-park. This means you can go directly to the check-in desk, not be exposed to the elements and you beat the queues! Upon return you telephone when your flight lands and then after collecting any luggage you are met outside the terminal with your ready warmed-up car ready to drive home. http://www.vipheathrow.co.uk/index.php/our-services/heathrow-meet-and-greet-parking
Now accounting for around 25% of parking at Heathrow, Meet & Greet is definitely the one for the savvy traveller. Especially when it doesn’t break the bank. VIP Budget meet & greet parking starts from just £47.95 for 7 days. However during the winter months it is recommended that customers opt for the VIP FLEXI option which means absolute flexibility and minimum waiting even if your flight lands early or late through winter weather conditions. VIP FLEXI can be booked for just £65 with the current 10% Xmas discount (Code: xmas14) enter online via www.vipheathrow.co.uk (Terms & Conditions apply, expires 12/12/14 at 23:00).
VIP is unique by offering customers three different service levels so they can choose accordingly to their budget. However all VIP meet & greet options are quality options where the customer vehicle is parked securely in the VIP car-park which has Park Mark accreditation.
VIP also offer a vehicle valet option which customers often appreciate at this time of year. It is lovely to let someone else sort the grime and come home to a shiny, fresh car. Visit www.vipheathrow.co.uk for prices and full details.
VIP Customers can also enjoy CLUB VIP which is the loyalty reward scheme. After every 3rd booking, VIP customers can claim a free gift. Visit the CLUB VIP page for full details and terms & Conditions. http://www.vipheathrow.co.uk/index.php/about-vip/club-vip-loyalty-scheme

At Least Heathrow Parking Is A Sure Thing!

Thursday, November 13th, 2014

welcome to heathrow

Heathrow airport parking with ‘VIP’ is tried and tested, something travellers can always count on. This is unlike the future of Heathrow airport in ‘The Great Will It / Won’t It Expand’ debate. The speculation continues over expansion plans for Heathrow Airport. This week it has been in the news that the Heathrow and Gatwick new runway costs have been ‘underestimated’
Plans to build new runways at Heathrow and Gatwick will cost substantially more than the bidders have estimated, a report says.
The Airports Commission says a second runway at Gatwick would cost £2bn more than the bid suggests. Two separate plans to expand Heathrow are predicted to cost £3-4bn more.
The commission has been tasked with weighing up where a new runway should be built to meet rising capacity demand in the South East of England.
It is considering three options – a second runway at Gatwick, a third runway at Heathrow, or an extension to one of the existing Heathrow runways.
Alternative proposals, including building new airports near Oxford or in Thames Estuary, have already been ruled out.
VIP has been providing an efficient, reliable and friendly meet & greet parking service at Heathrow for 10 years. Travelling from the world’s busiest international airport can be stressful enough with droves of harassed passengers battling their way around the confusing infrastructure to reach the hallowed Check-in desk. Parking can add to the stress if you don’t choose wisely. It might not be the most exciting thing to think about but it is critical – so don’t wing it (excuse the pun).
If you just turn up and park without pre-booking, you could end up with a scarily high parking ticket to pay upon return which always puts a major dampener on a trip. If you pre-book but choose an off-site car park with a bus service- you have our pity! Transfers are not fun no matter how quickly they try to herd you aboard and transfer you to your terminal. Drivers who choose meet & greet parking are definitely on the right track as this is the most convenient way to park at Heathrow. However never park with an operator who does not show the ‘Park Mark’ logo on their website which shows the car park has been properly vetted to meet standards. VIP is relied upon by thousands every year to deliver a great value, quality service so they can travel with peace of mind.
Choose from Budget/ PLUS or FLEXI VIP meet & greet parking options dependent on your budget and requirements. VIP even offers hotel with parking packages for those poor travellers with early / late flights. Visit www.vipheathrow.co.uk for further information and prices.

More Changes At Heathrow Terminal 2

Thursday, October 2nd, 2014

This week has seen more changes to which airlines fly from which Heathrow Terminal. Already a frenetic, chaotic place, Heathrow is a daunting airport to fly from for many travellers.

This week, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines have joined their fellow Star Alliance carriers in the new Terminal 2. With many recent airline moves, be sure to double-check your airline’s terminal before you travel. Have a look at the “Which Terminal?” guide on the Heathrow website for more information: http://bit.ly/WN214P A programme of moves is scheduled over several months.

Originally opening in 1955, Terminal 2 was Heathrow Airport’s first terminal and it was recently redeveloped and reopened in May 2014 renamed The Queens Terminal. The £1 billion Terminal 2 opened as the new home for 23 Star Alliance airlines, United Airlines, Aer Lingus, Virgin Little Red and Germanwings. It is scheduled to provide an estimated 20 million passengers every year with a spacious and modern airport facility.

Parking at Heathrow can be another head-ache if bus transfers or expensive on-site parking is involved. Meet and greet parking is the most convienent to park and is the secret of the savvy Heathrow traveller. It doesn’t have to make a major hole in the travel budget but those who choose the meet & greet parking service provided by the airport do pay quite a premium vs quality independant operators. One week’s Official Heathrow Meet & Greet parking can cost nearly £90 but quality, long established indpenedant operators such as VIP Heathrow Ltd can deliver the same personal parking service from only £47.95 which is nearly half the price. Customers can even choose the level of meet & greet parking service based on the budget they have for parking.

First time users of VIP Meet & Greet Parking can enjoy a special 10% discount for the PLUS & FLEXI parking service options using code NEWVIP (*Terms & Conditions apply). So if you are travelling from Terminal 2 in the near future use VIP Meet & Greet to ensure the parking element is one less complication.

VIP Heathrow Ltd was established in 2004 as the first to bring affordable, quality meet & greet parking to Heathrow. VIP has been successful in delivering brilliant prices but without compromising on quality. Customers using the VIP service can enjoy a friendly, reliable, punctual service with the peace of mind that their vehicle is being stored in a Park Mark accredited carpark for the duration of the trip.

Dozens of other operators have sprung up at Heathrow but many of these fail to deliver the winning combination which has made VIP be loved by thousands of Heathrow travellers whether they are flying for business or leisure. Every week 85% of VIP’s bookings come from returning customers or those who have been recommended to use VIP which is testament to the great value for money VIP provide. With ‘CLUB VIP’ the Loyalty and Recommend A Friend Scheme, customers are made to feel truley valued in return.
